Event Videography Pricing

Event video pricing depends on what the final output is, not just how long the event runs. A two-minute highlight reel and a commercial brand video shot at the same event are two very different products with very different production requirements.

Highlight Reel

1–3 minute edited video

$2,500 – $5,000

A professionally edited event recap — footage, music, and titles. Covers the full event and delivers a shareable summary for internal use and social media.

  • Single videographer
  • Full event coverage
  • 1–3 minute edited reel
  • Licensed music
  • Branded title cards
  • MP4 delivery (web and social formats)
  • 7-business-day turnaround

Full Coverage Package

Full coverage + 3–5 min reel

$4,500 – $9,000

Full event documentation plus an extended edited reel. Includes speaker and keynote footage, award moments, and social content. Common for galas and conferences.

  • Single or two-person crew
  • Full event coverage
  • 3–5 minute edited highlight reel

  • 7-business-day turnaround

Commercial Production

Scripted brand or ad content

$8,000 – $25,000

Scripted commercial production shot at or tied to the event. Brand ads, recruitment videos, testimonial series, or product launch content requiring professional crew, lighting, and direction.

  • Director and multi-person crew
  • Scripting and storyboard
  • Professional lighting setup
  • Talent direction
  • Full post-production
  • Multiple final cuts (30s, 60s, :15s)

  • Broadcast-ready delivery

Add-ons

  • Drone footage — aerial coverage, licensed operator$800 – $2,000
  • Live streaming setup (single camera, standard quality)$2,500 – $4,500
  • Live streaming (multi-camera, professional broadcast)$6,000 – $14,000
  • Subtitles and caption file (SRT)$200 – $400
  • Rush turnaround (72-hour delivery)$600 – $1,000 add-on

What affects cost

  • Output type — a highlight reel and a commercial video require different crew, equipment, and post-production time
  • Crew size — single videographer vs. a full production crew changes cost significantly
  • Live streaming — a separate discipline from event documentation; adds equipment and technical staff
  • Turnaround — standard is 7 business days; same-day and rush delivery require an editor on-site or prioritised post-production
  • Music licensing — stock music is included in all packages; custom compositions or branded audio are quoted separately
  • Drone — requires a licensed operator and weather-appropriate conditions; not always possible on the event day

Common questions

Event documentation captures what happened — the speeches, the awards, the atmosphere. Commercial production creates a planned asset — a scripted ad, a brand video, a recruitment piece — that happens to be filmed at or around the event. The crew, the shot list, and the post-production process are fundamentally different. If you are not sure which you need, describe what you plan to do with the video and we will tell you.
