Effective date: June 16, 2025  ·  One + One Event, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Services

One + One Event provides corporate event planning and management services in Alberta, Canada. The specific scope of services for each engagement is defined in a separate written proposal or service agreement. These Terms apply to all engagements unless superseded by a signed contract.

Booking and deposits

A booking is confirmed when a signed proposal or contract is returned and a deposit is received. Deposits are typically 30–50% of the estimated total, as specified in the proposal. We do not hold dates without a confirmed deposit.

Payment

Invoices are payable within 14 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing. Final balances are due no later than 7 days before the event date. Late payments may result in the suspension or cancellation of services. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue amounts at 1.5% per month.

Cancellations and changes

If you cancel an event more than 60 days before the event date, the deposit is forfeited. Cancellations within 30 to 60 days forfeit 50% of the total contracted value. Cancellations within 30 days forfeit 100% of the total contracted value. Changes to event scope, guest count, or date may affect pricing and are subject to availability.

Client responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate event details, timely approvals, and access required for us to perform our services. Delays caused by late approvals or incomplete information may affect delivery timelines. You are responsible for ensuring the event venue or location permits the planned activities.

Vendor and venue relationships

We work with a network of third-party vendors (venues, caterers, AV companies, photographers, entertainers). While we manage these relationships on your behalf, we are not liable for the performance of third-party vendors beyond what can be recovered through their own contracts and insurance. We will exercise reasonable judgment in vendor selection.

Intellectual property

Any creative materials, event concepts, or planning documents we produce remain our intellectual property until full payment is received. Photography and video produced as part of our content creation service may be used by One + One Event for portfolio and marketing purposes unless you request otherwise in writing before the event.

Limitation of liability

Our liability to you is limited to the fees paid for the specific services in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages including lost revenue or business opportunities. We are not responsible for events cancelled or disrupted by circumstances beyond our control, including extreme weather, venue closures, government orders, or force majeure events.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Edmonton, Alberta.
