Outdoor Team Building Edmonton
Edmonton's river valley park system is one of the best outdoor team building assets in any Canadian city — 22 connected parks accessible from May through October. Here is how we use it and what it costs.
Outdoor team building in Edmonton runs reliably from mid-May through late September. The weather window is real — early May and late September carry weather risk that summer months do not. For programs with a hard date, we always build an indoor contingency into the plan.
The river valley works for groups up to about 150 people for trail-based challenges, orienteering formats, and outdoor cooking programs. For larger groups, Elk Island Provincial Park (45 minutes east of the city) provides more space and more controlled logistics. Fort Saskatchewan and Strathcona County parks are alternatives for groups that want east-of-Edmonton locations.

Common questions
For groups under 50 on general park trails: no permit is required. For groups over 50, for events that include structures, catering, or amplified sound, or for events in specific parks like Hawrelak Park: a City of Edmonton Special Event Permit is required. We coordinate the permit as part of every outdoor program we plan.
